DEFINITION

The article consists of the dried ripe fruit of Ziziphus jujuba Mill. (Fam. Rhamnaceae) reduced to a fine powder. It contains NLT 0.035% of triterpenic acids as the sum of betulinic acid (C30H48O3), oleanolic acid (C30H48O3), ursolic acid (C30H48O3), and their 3-ketone analogs of betulonic acid (C30H46O3), oleanonic acid (C30H46O3), and ursonic acid (C30H46O3) on the dried basis; and NLT 0.01% of adenosine 3',5'-cyclic monophosphate (C10H12N5O6P) on the dried basis.
